POLYSORB® is a diol that can be used as a monomer in polycarbonates synthesis. It is the perfect plant-based solution to the two ongoing challenges facing the polycarbonate market.
Create much more than a polycarbonate thanks to POLYSORB®. It is a safe alternative to bisphenol A (BPA) and it it gives access to new polymer advantages, such as:
- Excellent optical properties (low birefringence and excellent light transmission)
- Chemical & UV resistance (without compounding with special UV stabilizers)
- High surface resistance, notably scratch resistance
Thanks to their enhanced properties, isosorbide-based polycarbonates can be used in, amongst others, the construction and automotive industries
