CLEARGUM® CO 01, CLEARGUM® CO 03 and CLEARGUM® CO A1 are compliant with the food requirements:
- FCC : Food Starch, Modified
- FAO JECFA : Starch Sodium Octenylsuccinate, INS No 1450
- Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 and its amendments : E 1450 -
CLEARGUM® CO grades have tensioactive properties and play the role of surfactant, owing to octenyl succinate modification. In emulsion, CLEARGUM® CO molecules will be present at the oil/water interface to stabilize it.
-
There are three grades of CLEARGUM® CO: CLEARGUM® CO 01, CLEARGUM® CO 03 and CLEARGUM® CO A1.
The difference between those grades lies in the viscosity in water ranking from the highest to the lowest as: CLEARGUM® CO 01, CLEARGUM® CO 03 and CLEARGUM® CO A1. -
CLEARGUM® CO are pregelatinized octenyl succinate starches.
-
CLEARGUM® CO grades act as emulsifiers, solubilizers and granulation binders. They are suitable for liquid and solid dosage forms.
