Portage la Prairie, MB (Canada), November 25, 2020 – Roquette, a global leader in plant-based ingredients and a pioneer of plant proteins which operates the world’s largest pea protein plant in Portage la Prairie, has been named one of Manitoba’s Top Employers for the second year in a row.
Now entering its 15th year, Manitoba’s Top Employers is an annual competition recognizing the Manitoba employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
“Receiving this award for a second time is a tremendous honour and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team to establish Roquette’s culture from the ground up at the Portage pea protein plant,” said Dominique Baumann, CEO for Roquette in Canada.
Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Roquette’s Human Resources team in Canada has been able to hire and onboard nearly 50 new employees since March.
“People are extremely eager to work for us,” says Trish Clark, Head of HR for Roquette in Canada. “We regularly hear during interviews that people are excited for a chance to build a career with a global leader in plant-based protein. For our skilled trades, the opportunity to work on a new, state of the art facility is a major draw.”
