Application NEOSORB® PF pyrogen-free sorbitol is used for parenteral preparations and provides excipient and API benefits. As an excipient, it is an isotonic agent. As an API, it is used as a carbohydrate energy source and irrigating fluid for surgical procedures, to prevent intra- and extra-cellular dehydration.
