XYLISORB® XTAB 240 is xylitol granulated with NUTRIOSE®, with mean granule diameter of 240 µm, while XYLISORB® XTAB 400 is xylitol granulated with sodium carboxymethylcellulose, with mean granule diameter of 300 µm. XYLISORB® XTAB 240 is suited for nutraceutical use while XYLISORB® XTAB 400 is suited for both nutraceutical and pharmaceutical use.

XYLISORB® is available in both crystalline and granulated grades with different mean particle sizes. For direct compression, the granulated grades XYLISORB® XTAB 240 and XTAB 400 are recommended due to enhanced flow, superior tabletability and no/low sensitivity to production speed.

Even though XYLISORB® has a sweet taste (similar to sucrose), it is non-cariogenic and hence, a tooth-friendly option for sugar-free formulations.

XYLISORB® is used as a filler in formulations for powders, granules and tablets. It is particularly useful for chewable tablet formulations requiring superior organoleptic properties due to XYLISORB®'s sweet taste, pleasant texture and cooling effect. Crystalline grades of XYLISORB® are also used in hard coating.
