At Roquette, we believe sustainable transportation should create value not only for our company, but also for our customers, carrier partners, and the wider value chain. Our global transportation decarbonization program covers road, ocean, air, and intermodal freight, across 150 countries and a network of 300 carriers. The program reduces transport-related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while maintaining the high service levels our customers expect.

Recently, we achieved ISO 14083 verification for our carbon calculation methodology. ISO 14083 is the international standard for calculating and reporting GHG emissions associated with transport and logistics activities. This new major milestone in our decarbonization strategy confirms the reliability, robustness, and transparency of the carbon emissions data we provide to our customers.

Acting on our global transport decarbonization strategy

Roquette is among the first manufacturers globally to reach this level of independently audited and verified ISO 14083 coverage. Since 2021, Roquette has progressively integrated decarbonization criteria into its transport tenders, favoring carriers that can offer alternative fuels and report emissions in line with ISO 14083.

Our collaborative approach has driven measurable results: between 2021 and 2025, Roquette's total transport-related CO2e emissions fell by 30,000 tCO2e, a 15% reduction. These efforts contribute to our life+nature sustainability target to reduce our scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030.

Roquette extends these sustainability gains directly to customers by managing lower-carbon transport from our plants to their delivery locations. Today, over 180 customers benefit from lower-carbon logistics without compromising reliability.

Innovating sustainably on the shipper side

As carbon reporting expectations tighten, transparency and credibility are essential. In August 2026, Bureau Veritas verified Roquette's alignment with the ISO 14083 methodology covering transport-related GHG emissions across our international network.

ISO 14083 verification is most often carried out by carriers and logistics providers. As a shipper, Roquette has taken ownership of the verification process rather than delegating emissions data reporting. This brings verified emissions data closer to the brand and end-customer level.

Roquette is among the first companies to obtain validation of the ISO 14083 methodology alignment.

Reducing emissions in the value chain and for customers

Implementing ISO 14083 gives customers and carrier partners a common global framework for consistent, verified emissions data to support their environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments and scope 3 emissions management. To make this actionable, Roquette has developed personalized carbon scorecards for customers, delivered through a dedicated dashboard, enabling them to track the CO2 emissions and savings associated with their own deliveries.

By combining six years of decarbonization efforts, carrier partnerships, ISO 14083-verified carbon accounting, and customer visibility through dedicated scorecards, Roquette is turning a logistics service into a more sustainable transport solution. It helps the entire value chain – suppliers, Roquette, and customers alike – reduce, measure, and credibly report transportation-related emissions worldwide.
