Building a Culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Roquette

Learn more about Roquette’s progress in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, including its commitments to Diversity Charters throughout Europe.

Driven by our CARE for people sustainable development platform, we are shaping a workplace where individuals feel valued, included, and empowered. In 2026, several of our European sites signed Diversity Charters in Europe for the first time or renewed their pledge as part of our focus on inclusion and belonging. We have also been building on previous initiatives to promote equal opportunity and accessibility throughout the company.
Acting on our commitment to diversity
Our company-wide diversity commitment translates into concrete actions:
- Promoting fairness and equal opportunities
- Building awareness and inclusive leadership
- Tracking progress and driving continuous improvement
- Working towards 40% women in management (global professional grades) by 2030
In France, we renewed our signature to the Diversity Charter. Locally, our teams have facilitated specific committees and campaigns supporting among others, young talents and people with disabilities. Advancing gender equity also means addressing the practical realities of working in an industrial environment. Our sites have therefore continued to adapt facilities and working conditions, from dedicated changing rooms, showers and sanitary facilities for women to parking arrangements and appropriate workwear for pregnant employees.
In Spain, we reaffirmed our support to the Diversity Charter and proudly endorsed the revised local Equity Plan. This updated plan details concrete actions to strengthen gender equity and prevent all forms of discrimination.
In Italy, Roquette has been included in the List of Responsible Companies for the first time. The list recognizes organizations that stand out for adopting policies and initiatives in support of gender equality, inclusion, and work-life balance. Inclusion on the list was also made possible by obtaining the Gender Equality Certification, achieved in December 2024, and represents further confirmation of the company’s commitment to valuing people and supporting parenthood.
In Romania and Germany, we signed the Diversity Charter as two new milestones in 2026 and further anchored inclusion in our local practices and culture.
In India, we reached more milestones in broadening women’s representation across both leadership and operations. At our Gokak site, the appointment of the first woman to the site’s Leadership Team, as Head of Quality, means that women are now represented on the leadership teams of all five of our sites in the country. At Pantnagar, gender diversity is also increasing in our operations, with six women having worked on the packaging line as contract employees for the past year.
In Brazil, women are also taking on roles where they have historically been less represented both in operations and in leadership. For example, a former production manager at our Itapevi site was appointed last year as Plant Manager for our capsule production plant in Anápolis, becoming the first woman to hold this role at Roquette in Brazil.
At the global level this year, we partnered with L’effet A (The A Effect) to launch our first women’s leadership development program for participants from Roquette Forward, our Young Top Talent Program. This fully sponsored, three-month experience combines online learning, live webinars, cross-company networking and peer support, giving participants additional tools and connections to support their personal and professional growth.
Embracing the principle of equal opportunity for success
Across our sites worldwide, we continue to foster an environment that promotes a sense of belonging and provides equitable opportunities. This includes advancing digital accessibility by investing in and aiming at continuously improving our digital platforms to benefit all users.
Building on previous initiatives, we are also providing education and resources to raise awareness and support workforce inclusion for people with disabilities.
I’m proud of the progress we’ve made on our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) journey. We have achieved a lot in setting the framework since 2019 and activating a DE&I culture throughout our sites.
