It is non-cariogenic and can provide a sweet flavor on the lips. At higher concentrations it can serve as a natural preservative.

Beauté by Roquette® PO 160 is a multifunctional ingredient acting very well as an humectant, moisturizer, flavor enhancer, sweetener and prevents tooth decay. It has an ISO 16128 Natural Origin Index of 1.
