Solubility and stability improvement
We offer a full range range of solubilization and stability enhancers: native and hydroxypropyl cyclodextrins KLEPTOSE®, and octenyl succinate starches CLEARGUM® CO, for use in many dosage forms, from solid to liquid.
Native betacyclodextrins
Molecular inclusion complexes using cyclodextrins have become an common formulation strategy to improve the solubility or stability of active ingredients.
Roquette has pioneered the development of betacyclodextrin technology, developing a full range of KLEPTOSE® betacyclodextrins. With different powder properties, chemical substitutions and solubility profiles, they are able to meet modern formulation needs.
Octenyl succinate starches
CLEARGUM® CO are amphiphilic polymers providing multiple functions:
- Decreases surface tension for the stability of your emulsions (liquid or solid)
- Increases wettability of your API and speed of dissolution
- Improves directly API solubility in water via its stabilization
Hydroxypropyl betacyclodextrins
Push back your formulation limits with our hydroxypropyl betacyclodextrins enabling technology: KLEPTOSE® HPB, HP and KLEPTOSE® PB-LB. For a long time, hydroxypropyl betacyclodextrins technology has been used exclusively by a select few. Today, the patent environment for HPBCD is more favourable for new formulations and the use of HPBCD technology in pharmaceuticals is now free of any broad-use restrictions except within the sole US territory till 2019.
