Shanghai (China), November 6, 2019 – Roquette, a global leader in plant-based ingredients for Food, Nutrition and Health markets, and Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd., one of the largest dairy companies in Asia, signed today a long-term strategic cooperation agreement at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Mr. Pan Gang, Board Chairman and President of Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Mr. Edouard Roquette, Chairman of the Board of Roquette, signed the agreement during an economic forum hosted by the Chinese President Xi Jinping and the French President Emmanuel Macron.
The contract covers the purchase of Roquette products from Yili in the next three years, and reinforces the already existing business relationship of both leading companies in Chinese Food markets. Roquette and Yili will extend their cooperation to fields such as new product development, technical optimization and food safety for the benefit of both companies.

The China Yili Group is one of the largest dairy companies in Asia. In 2018, the Yili Group reported an operating income of 80 billion Yuan, an increase of 16.89% versus the previous year; its net profit for the year also increased by 10.32% compared with 2017, setting a new record in the Asian dairy industry. Through this growth in recent years, the Yili Group has settled in the first camp of the world dairy industry.
