POLYSORB® isosorbide

POLYSORB® isosorbide is a highly pure dianhydrohexitol, more commonly called isosorbide.

This sustainable, biodegradable, non-aromatic and bicyclic diol is obtained by dehydration of sorbitol, a derivative of starch, for which Roquette is the leading world producer.

POLYSORB® from Roquette exhibits key attributes offering value or opportunities to develop successful and sustainable applications.

POLYSORB® Isosorbide offers technological solutions both for thermoplastics (polyesters, polycarbonates, and TPU Thermoplastic Polyurethanes) and curable resins (polyurethanes, epoxy resins, unsaturated resins, and reactive coatings), etc.
In addition to its plant-based and technological assets, toxicological assessment has shown POLYSORB® isosorbide was safe, without any classification.
It is free of bisphenols (like BPA, BPS or BPF). POLYSORB® isosorbide can be used in several countries worldwide, as it is registered in global chemical inventories like Reach or ToSCA, etc.
