Sustainable development at Roquette

Sustainable Development enriches the strategy of the Roquette Group

In the respect of key environmental objectives, the Roquette Group, attentive to the well-being of individuals and populations, transforms plant-based raw materials in its biorefineries into solutions.

To achieve its ambition to “become the global leader in starches and their specialities with sustainable and health advantages”, the Group embraces a number of major challenges in terms of “sustainability”:

  • Optimize the profitability and solidity of the company
  • Limit the impact of the Group’s activities on the environment,
  • Respond to the expectations of stakeholders (shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers…),
  • Develop skills and adapt them to the orientations of the company in an international context...

The Roquette Group’s approach to Sustainable Development takes into account these different objectives and adopted engagements according to 4 types of capital:

Natural capital

Roquette sustainability   This is made up of plant-based raw materials, the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, natural resources, water, air, the climate .…

Roquette Group’s engagement seeks to preserve the natural capital by minimizing the impact of its activities on the local and global environment, at every phase of its business.

Material and industrial capital

Roquette sustainability

This is made up of everything related to the Group’s industrial plant & equipment, processes, R&D activities and investment capacity…

The Roquette Group’s engagement seeks to generate value and develop this capital by optimizing productivity and energy consumption at all its units.

Human capital

Roquette sustainability
