The principal mission of the group is the creation and improvement of products and processes using biotechnology and chemistry.
The management of each project is supported by research teams, which bring about their own skill in the domain of microbiology, fermentation, chemistry and chemical engineering in order to provide cutting-edge technology.
The research teams work closely with the applications laboratories to evaluate new products, and with the analytical laboratories to validate any proposed development.
Their work also requires the use of pilot plants; these allow an integrated approach to evaluating both new technologies and their potential to meet process objectives; they also help create the product required by the applications laboratories or for running tests in client plant.
Right through to final industrial validation, all these procedures and skills make the researches ideal partners for the production engineers.
