Quality & Safety
Quality, from field to customer
Roquette’s dedication to the highest level of product quality, purity and safety starts in the crop field where the raw materials are harvested, and extends right through to the highest quality bulk delivery systems.
Supported by on-site certified laboratories, Roquette quality analysis control ensures that necessary and effective measures are in place to ensure full traceability.
This essential modern-day requirement enables the company to provide on request products that, for example, are derived from GM-free corn (maize). In this respect, our European and Chinese production units have implementing purchasing procedures approved by Bureau Veritas, which guarantees the use of conventional corn (maize).
In addition to conforming to ISO 9001:2000 for quality management, Roquette has submitted its operations to specific industry guidelines such as ISO 22000 for food applications, sectorial code for feed safety feeding-stuff, and appropriate GMP for pharmaceuticals.
Our raw materials are monitored prior to use to ensure that current regulations are adhered to, particularly concerning undesirable substances such as pesticides, mycotoxins and heavy metals. Over 5,000 analyses using these criteria are carried out every year.
The central Lestrem laboratory in charge of the analytical control is accredited by COFRAC concerning its analytical methods of control and research of contaminating chemical and microbiological products in both raw materials and finished products.
- All quality management systems are regularly and successfully evaluated and validated by independent third-party auditors representing the appropriate certification bodies, or by our customers.
