Six environmental principles

Roquette’s environmental policy is based on six operational principles:

  • Ongoing environmental regulatory compliance,
     
  • Use of technologies that preserve the environment,
     
  • Control of environmental parameters and proper management of the various types of waste,
     
  • Waste reduction and recovery of by-products,
     
  • Prevention and management of major risks,
     
  • Corporate commitment demonstrated by on-going staff sensitization to environmental concerns. 

The group's environmental policy applies throughout the production process.

Roquette has set up an environmental management system, based on ISO 14001 and backed by a strong commitment by top management. This system is founded on progress targets that are implemented within the factories and workshops and are regularly audited.

In Europe each of our sites complies with the European IPPC directive, and in particular with those sections dealing with the best available technology (BAT).
