Roquette at the 19th International Congress of Nutrition (ICN)
Roquette at the 19th International Congress of Nutrition (ICN) held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 4-9 October 2009: a good opportunity to present the prebiotic properties of NUTRIOSE®.
At this important nutrition event, Roquette, represented by Muriel Berard, nutrition study coordinator in North Asia, presented a poster reviewing the prebiotic effects of NUTRIOSE®: it showed that beneficial changes occur in gut bacteria following the consumption of a minimum dose of soluble fibre of 8 g per day.
Organized every four years under the auspices of the IUNS, the International Union of Nutritional Sciences, the International Congress of Nutrition 2009 addressed the theme "Nutrition Safety for All".
A total of 300 internationally renowned speakers from all continents shared their experiences and discussed future challenges that stem from basic research to policy and programme applications. Furthermore, 200 oral presentations featured the latest findings in nutrition science and related disciplines. More than 3500 posters were exhibited and about 4000 persons attended the congress.
This event was therefore for Roquette a good platform for scientific communication about its nutritional ingredients.
