The purpose of this study was to broaden the applications of mannitol-based orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs) by screening disintegrants suitable for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications and comparing their abilities to quickly disintegrate directly compressed (DC) placebo tablets.
